Vicky and I cannot think of a more deserving person to receive a heart. We knew some time ago that you were special…seeing you in action and spending time with you in New Orleans and on the Sweet cruise showed us just how special.
You are indeed a pioneer. You gave us the opportunity to travel, have a great time and give something back while showing the rest of the world another side of our community. What we did in Mexico, Belize and Roatan sowed important seeds of change.
The opportunities you gave us to spend a few hours in communities that really need our help were life changing for us and hopefully for them. We long have been recyclers but picking up dozens of plastic bottles from the beach showed that we need to do more than recycle, we need to consume less. The project at the e-learning center was also an eye opener … just $150 can give a kid in Roatan the chance to learn skills that will help her/him climb out of poverty and create a better life. And standing in a school or a pediatric ward in Belize is a far different experience that just seeing photos. We accomplished far more as a group than we could as individuals.
I wish we could bottle your spirit and your energy. You made a huge impression on everyone you met and we all fell in love with you. We are proud to call you our friend and honored to have you in our lives.
