I received this heart from my good friend Ally right before I was going home to Norway to be with my Dad who was dying from brain cancer. I knew I was about to go through one of the hardest times of my life, and this heart was the most touching gift I could have received.

Every day the heart which I kept at my bedside table reminded me that I have deeply caring and understanding friends literally across the globe. I don't know what I would have done without them.

A few weeks ago - six months after my Dad's passing - one of my best friend's Mom became seriously ill and I knew that the time had come to pass my heart on to her. My friend needs it more than me now. It's nice to be able to pay it forward.
