Dear Shannan,

As I was driving away tonight, it became very clear that my little girl has grown into a confident, beautiful young lady. I am so proud of you; not because of what you've done but because of who you are. You are an amazing young lady.

I have watched you overcome obstacles from inner struggles, to relationships and to health. You have handled each with grace and dignity. Each time, emerging stronger with a willingness to learn from the past and with motiviation to move forward using each lesson to be a better person. You are a leader and a positive role model.

My prayer is that you stay true to yourself. As you know, this isn't always the easiest route but it is the one that builds character.

I am truly excited for you and the new oppurtunities you will experience this year. You are SO ready for this! It is so cool watching you blossom and sharing your journey along the way.
