A heart is the most obvious gift FOR me, and most of my friends know this. Rarely, though, do I give a heart. This, however, is an important symbol for Emily.
Emily is happy but struggling; talented but sad; creative but tired; lonely but eager; in love AND inspired.
I bought this heart for her while visiting her outside of Seattle. I knew then that something big was looming over her. I don't know if it will be a week or a month or several years for her to get her life figured out--or do any of us really ever do that? Still, this heart is for you, Emily. Keep it or pass it along.
