I was honored to receive my first Heart is Hot from my incredible stepmama, Peg. I debated for awhile on whom to send it to ... knowing that so many people touch my life and I wanted to give it to someone who would surely pass it on. I’ve kept my heart longer than I intended to, but know a friend who definitely deserves it.
My friend Lynette Milligan is a friend in the truest sense of the word. I met her nearly eight years ago, and have been blessed to be her friend since then. From dancing in the rain in Rome to posing in pictures on the side of I-90 during a traffic backup, she reminds me to enjoy the little things in life. She always has time for a quick chat, a hug or even a cry. When I recently underwent surgery, she was there for me with soup and a chick flick. When I was having a tough day, she brought fresh flowers to my desk; she frequently leaves notes just to say hi or calls just to check in. She is a genuine, loving person who impacts so many people around her, and I’m so lucky to call her friend.
