I gave Heart # 756 to Dr Joan Malick, who has given her heart to 10x756 people! "Dr Joan", as she is known, is an amazing woman with tireless energy and awesome creativity.

I was a Dr Joan fan long before I met her. As Associate Pastor at the church where my daughter is Middle School Youth Coordinator, Dr Joan nurtured and loved my daughter, which filled me with joy. As years went on and I learned more about Dr Joan, I learned that she'd touched many, many lives in the same way she touched my daughter's, and she did it in such a way that each and every one of those people felt special. When Dr Joan joined "Laura's Team" to help nurture my daughter's best friend during her battle with brain cancer, I saw first hand the heart of this amazing woman.

I personally was blessed by Dr Joan's nurturing as www.WhatFriendsDo.com was born. Her wisdom and encouragment are a part of the website that is now helping others help their friends in a time of need.

As Dr Joan retires at the end of this month (August 2008) I look forward to seeing the loving and creative ways she will touch lives. Her heart is most defintely going to travel and touch others -- and one small part of that will be her HeartIsHot gift to pass on. I look forward to watching the journey of #756!
