I’m not old enough to type this message myself, so I’ve asked my parents to write this for me. I’m sure if I could talk, this is exactly what I would say. I’ve been waiting for the right time to share this very special heart with you and I thought your birthday was a perfect day to pass it along. This heart is extra special because it has the lucky number 7 in it, just like my birthday on 07.07.07.
I wanted to share this heart with you to thank you for all of your care, kindness, guidance, and the lessons you continue to teach me. You are the BESTEST nanny and friend! I really enjoy our time together playing, singing, laughing, having fun, and learning new things every day. I’m really lucky to have you in my life to help me grow and develop into a strong, caring woman, just like you.
My mommy and daddy are also so glad that they found you and that you take such good care of me. They know that they can trust you and don’t have to worry when I’m with you, which makes them so happy. They love that you take me on walks and get Norah and I outside to play and discover new things. They also love how creative you are with coming up with fun games, activities, and cool stuff for us to play with (like flour in bowls, pots and pans, and tupperware!). They also truly treasure the wonderful gifts you’ve helped me make for them – the valentine, the watercolor painting, and the “Best Mom” apron for Mother’s Day. (Mommy gets all weepy and teary-eyed each time we create a new gift for her. She just loves them!)
I hope that by sharing this heart and story you will begin to know how thankful we are that you are a part of our lives. We hope that when the time is right that you might pass this heart along to someone that has had a great impact on your life, as you have in ours.
