We Moxie Ladies are using our super-powers to help a wonderful woman, Sally Wagner, through her very tough time. Sally is a mother, friend, mentor and more. She works for Dr. Mignon Cejalvo (one of Moxie’s founders) at Priority Health Chiropractic here in Camas, WA.

Here is What Happened to Sally...
At the end of March, she was stricken very unexpectedly with a sudden & rare infection that ultimately took one of her legs and almost cost her her life. After four surgeries, she is currently stable, but isn't out of the woods yet (click here to read updates from her family and friends...). As you can imagine, she has a long road ahead of her... physically, emotionally and financially.

My little one, my Lyle, he's been struggling lately with big, challenging emotions that he doesn't always know how to express, despite his many words. It's easy to be loud, he's discovered, loud and bossy and angry; not so easy to say, "Mommy, I miss you. I'm sad when you to go to work. Please stay home and play with me."

My third grade teacher called me a worrywart. I hated that term ... but she was right. Always have been .... always will be.

And SB? Just like his Mama.

I've sensed how much he's been worrying about my upcoming visit to the hospital. He's always been terrified of doctors and hospitals. Not to mention which the last time he was in the hospital (besides the sibling class) was the day he had the "seizure" (still not sure if that's what it was). I've assured him that I'm not going to the hospital because something is wrong with me; that that is simply where the baby is going to be born. Of course, I've also reminded him that he can come and visit me each day I'm there and that my parents (who he absolutely adores) will be here the whole time to take care of him.

Looking for a thoughtful gift idea? Give someone your heart - or at least a replica of it. Snag one of these gorgeous glass hearts (eco-friendly, so you can show Mother Earth some love, too) and give it to someone special. Each one is engraved with a number, so the recipient can go online, share a personal story to inspire - and then pass it on to someone they love. It's the 2008 version of a chain letter- with a lot more heart.

I came across this website www.heartishot.com the other day and thought "what a beautiful way to send love around the world!" In addition to providing support and community for you at Peternity, we also try to promote hope and love. An integral part of the grieving process is to be able to start to look forward, to try to focus on all of the little things in our lives that remind us of the beauty of life and regeneration. We have so much to be thankful for. Send some love around the world and make another person feel warmth and joy in their heart.

Today's gift ideas for the savvy single gal are all about passing it on. After all, it's easy to just buy something, wrap it in a pretty package, and hand it to a recipient. And when it comes to buying gifts for yourself, it's even easier to get lost in simply being selfish and self indulgent (not that there's anything wrong with that!). It's time to think about gift giving in a whole new way. It's time to think about buying gifts with intention, whether they're for you or someone else. The following will hopefully inspire you to do something nice for yourself today, as well as for someone else.

I recently stumbled across an amazing gift idea at HEARTISHOT.COM. Here's how it works. You purchase one of these amazingly gorgeous unique heart art pieces made of 100% recycled stained-glass and engraved with a version of the flower of life symbol. When the item arrives, you can keep it or pass it on. The heart is not only beautiful but contains healing properties. But again, it's not the gift itself that's so meaningful. The purpose is to eventually pass the heart along to others, and track its journey around the world. It's re-gifting at its finest - and with a purpose, to show how interconnected we all are. Love that!
